I thought for sure I would end up with a card, but instead it was this goofy picture of my dog, Gracie. She loves me so much she lets me put toys on her face simply for my own enjoyment. Gracie, I love you, baby girl!

Ice Day

Well, my Christmas break started a day early since we had an ice storm overnight. I'm hoping hubby makes to work and back in one piece. On a good note, I can finally finish my Christmas cards today!

A Visit from St. Nicholas (The Stamper's Version)

I saw this on Splitcoast and couldn't resist sharing it with you all.

Twas the night before Christmas, I was glued to the tree.
I was wondering what Santa had brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cuttlebug, I thought, with a smile on my face.

And that's when I heard him..."Hi Santa," I said.
"You know, good little girls should be asleep in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."

"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, and then left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim, as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

No Time for Cards...

but I did manage to get the tree up. You'll notice there are no gifts under the tree yet, but at least I'm making some progress, right?




These are just a few of the many snowmen I put on display every winter. My husband calls them my "snowmen army" and worries they may rise up one night and attack while he's asleep...Don't ask.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

State Champs, Baby!

Woohoooooo!!!!! My high school boys won the football state championship last night! I have no voice left from screaming so much, but it's totally worth it. It's such a satisfying win. Last year we were undefeated, then lost in the championship game. Then over the summer one of the players lost his father to a heart attack, and just a couple of weeks ago, we lost one of our school staff members, who was a huge football supporter. We could really feel their presence with us on the field last night. Congrats, boys, I'm so proud of you! GO SAINTS!

Just So You Know What I'm Dealing With...

This is the look I get when I'm making cards or surfing on Splitcoast...aka "not playing ball with Gracie."


If "the look" doesn't work, she progresses to whining, incessant squeaking, or the oh-so-subtle push of the ball across the room.


If all else fails, she just sighs and gives up in defeat.

Technical Difficulties...Please Stand By...

It's one of those days, technologically speaking. I have been trying to upload a card for 45 minutes. First my camera was misbehaving. I finally got that under control, then my photo editing software was giving me fits. Now Blogger won't let me upload this pic. I am ready to hurt someone. Grrrr!!!!!!!
