I have to admit, I had a rough time with this sketch, so I simplified it a bit. The bonus challenge this week is paper piecing, so I did some on my snowman's scarf. I also glitterized him with some Spica pens, then added a bunch of pearls just for fun. Hope you like it!

I hope you'll join in the fun this week. Link up your finished creation on the Get Sketchy blog.

Get Sketchy #14

Hello and welcome to Get Sketchy Friday! This week's sponsor is Soft Pencil. They have some really cute digi images available, and this week's winner will receive a $10 gift certificate. The bonus challenge is to use markers, which will be so easy to do with Soft Pencil's cutie pie digis!

The DT received several images to play with, and I chose this adorable little girl and her bunny. At first glance, I thought it was more of a springtime image, but then I realized I could add some liquid applique to her hat and make it a wintry scene. I used a glitter pen on her clothes, the balloon, and the bunny's ears, then added Stickles to the ground to create some snow. As you can see, I flipped the sketch to fit my image.

Ready to play along? Link your finished creation to the Get Sketchy blog. I can't wait to see everyone's creations!

Stamps: Soft Pencil
Paper: Certainly Celery, PTI white, SU dp
Accessories: SU markers & colored pencils, blender pen, Stickles Icicles, liquid applique, Spica glitter pen, SU ribbon, dimensionals

I glitterfied (yes, that is a word) my card by using glittered brads for the spider bodies, then outlining the rest of the spiders, their thread, and the sentiment with glitter pens. I also played along with the bonus challenge to use distressing on your card.

I can't wait to see what everyone creates this week! Be sure to link up your take on the

Happy Friday! Time for another Get Sketchy challenge. This week's sketchy comes with a bonus challenge to use NO patterned paper...think you can handle it?

I took on that bold bonus challenge by creating a CAS masculine card. I embossed the Chocolate Chip panels with my Houndstooth folder, and the leaves are punched out on textured cardstock to give it some interest (and you know how I love my texture). I finished it off with some pearls and a simple sentiment.

This week's Get Sketchy challenge is sponsored by Neatnix Organizing Systems. They have all kinds of organizing solutions for all your crafting (and household) needs!

You can win this fabulous Square Stuff Bucket this week, but you've got to be in it to win it...so get crafting! Link up your finished creation to the Get Sketchy blog. Have fun!

It's Here!

I'm SO excited! Today kicks off the first challenge at Get Sketchy! Here's the sketch that our wonderful Dora created for us. There's also a bonus challenge this week to use patterned paper.

Our sponsor this week is CropSuey, where you can find the most fabulous card kits. Be sure to hop over to the Get Sketchy blog to see the prizes up for grabs...that's right, not only will the winner of this week's challenge receive Crop Suey's first kit, BUT a random winner will also be chosen to receive a kit. That's two chances to win--how cool is that?

Now for my card. As many of you know, I've got school on the brain since I start back to work on Monday, so I decided to make a teacher card. I wanted to mix up the traditional red apple look, so I went with a green apple and threw in some yummy pink embossed paper I picked up at my LSS. It's very close in color to Melon Mambo and Raspberry Fizz.

This card will go in my stash and be a "pick me up" for someone later in the year.

SO, I know you want to play along; what are you waiting for? Get creating and link your finished card to Get Sketchy. I can't wait to see what you create!

Stamps: Teacher's Apple (PTI)
Paper: PTI white, PTI dp, Bazzill dp
