It's Here!

I'm SO excited! Today kicks off the first challenge at Get Sketchy! Here's the sketch that our wonderful Dora created for us. There's also a bonus challenge this week to use patterned paper.

Our sponsor this week is CropSuey, where you can find the most fabulous card kits. Be sure to hop over to the Get Sketchy blog to see the prizes up for grabs...that's right, not only will the winner of this week's challenge receive Crop Suey's first kit, BUT a random winner will also be chosen to receive a kit. That's two chances to win--how cool is that?

Now for my card. As many of you know, I've got school on the brain since I start back to work on Monday, so I decided to make a teacher card. I wanted to mix up the traditional red apple look, so I went with a green apple and threw in some yummy pink embossed paper I picked up at my LSS. It's very close in color to Melon Mambo and Raspberry Fizz.

This card will go in my stash and be a "pick me up" for someone later in the year.

SO, I know you want to play along; what are you waiting for? Get creating and link your finished card to Get Sketchy. I can't wait to see what you create!

Stamps: Teacher's Apple (PTI)
Paper: PTI white, PTI dp, Bazzill dp
Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive
Accessories: buttons (PTI), pearls (Kaisercraft)

Ooo, this is so cool! Love the trail of buttons. And I love apple stamps almost as much as I love pears, lol!

A fab card, Ann! I like that you've mixed it up a little with a green apple rather than red. Though I REALLY appreciate it when students give me chocolate more than apples LOL!
This will be a definite pick-me-up during the academic year!
Right then off to Get Sketchy to try to play along!
Hugs,
Aimes
