Hey there! Hope you had a fabulous Christmas! I've been enjoying some down time with my hubby & the rest of my family, but I've also been itching to get crafty.
Today I'm playing along with TWO challenges--the ladies at CAS-ual Fridays have teamed up with 10 Minute Craft Dash for a holiday themed challenge. Fun, right?
This was an easy combo for me, since my CAS cards rarely take more than 10 minutes (this one took 8). And, since Christmas has come & gone, I decided to make a New Year's card!
I knew I wanted to play with some of my new American Crafts glittered ribbon, so I started there, added a sentiment, & threw in some rhinestones for good measure. New Year's cards MUST sparkle, right?
Happy New Year! Here's to a crafty 2013!

Happy 2011! Hope this year is your best yet!I thought I'd kick things off with a challenge card (of course): A Passion for Papertrey's Background Basics. I used Text Style II to stamp my background, then used the Framed set to frame it & add my sentiment. I chose the word "Joy" because it fits with my overall goal for 2011: HAPPINESS. It was an idea I've been playing with for a while. In November I posted "30 days of thankfulness" on my Facebook wall, which got me thinking about all the things that make me happy...then Dawn McVey posted this yesterday...& then I stumbled across a book (& website) called The Happiness Project.SO, I am ready to face 2011 with this goal of happiness in mind. What are YOU hoping for in the new year?Stamps: Text Style II, Framed (PTI)

Hi, everyone! Hope you had an amazing Christmas!I'm joining in on the fun with the Papertrey Blog Hop...my first time...amazing considering how much PTI stuff I own! This month we were asked to use up some holiday leftovers...scraps of wrapping paper, bits of ribbon, leftover tags, etc.
Here's a peek of the gorgeous Christmas card I used...and only a peek, because I forgot to take a picture of it before I started cutting into it. Oops!
And here's what I came up with. I incorporated some of that gorgeous red velvet damask from the original card.I used my new butterfly die...
And since I added pearls to the body, I'm also entering this in A Passion for Papertrey's pearls challenge. Thanks for stopping by!Stamps: Signature Greetings (PTI)

Hi, all! Hope your week is off to a fab start! Our furnace broke down last night (of course, on one of the coldest nights of the year), but we're back in business now. I had coffee with some of my girls this morning, too, so that's raised my post-holiday spirits!I had a bit of time to whip up a card this afternoon. I'm trying to send a few New Year's cards to make up for the lack of Christmas cards I sent out...I combined two challenges: Laura's Sketch 42 and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger--black and white with a bit of green. Those Primas are brand new today--thanks to my buddy, Elizabeth, for sending them my way!
Have a great week!
