Prepare to Be Challenged!

I'm thrilled to announce a brand *new* endeavor--the brain child of the fabulous Courtney Baker--called Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge! Each month we'll challenge you to incorporate household items into your crafting. We want to push you--and ourselves--to think outside the box.

Courtney's put together a great team who'll share hostessing duties:
Courtney Baker
Kelly Alvarez
Kelley Eubanks
Lynette Kauffman
Winter Sims
ME! Smileys

Courtney is our host for this month, and she's challenging us to use items from the mail in our creations. I added a extra challenge for myself--I didn't let the mail pile up; when I sat down to make my card, I used that day's mail only.

That being said, I really lucked out. My leafy panel came from the local hospital's seasonal magazine, and the yellow-y layer under my sentiment is the packaging from a free sample.

So, are you up for the challenge? If so, a $25 Papertrey gift card might be in your future. You have until Oct. 9th to play along. Stop by Courtney's blog for all the details...

Paper: Kraft, Basic Black, magazine, packaging
Accessories: Nestabilities circles & scalloped circles, American Crafts Thickers, PTI ribbon
