Wee Memories Challenge 52

Hey there! Time for Wee Memories Challenge 52

Our awesome sponsor is Your Next Stamp! They are offering our winner a stamp set for this week's challenge.
Our theme goes perfectly with our sponsor's adorable stamps..."All Things Adorable!" We're challenging you to crank up the cuteness factor on your projects!
Your Next Stamp provided the DT with some super cute stamps. I was fortunate to play with Mini Day Dream Fhiona for my card.

I wanted to make a little something different than a standard card, & this sweet image of a girl sitting on a giant flower inspired my idea.

Check out what's inside the mini envelope...
a pack of flower seeds! Don't you think it'd be a fun little surprise for a friend so she can start her own butterfly garden? I think it'll make a sweet thank you or even a "just because" card.

So, ready to play along with us? Just link up your adorable project to the Wee Memories blog. You have until midnight PST on Fri., Apr. 22 to be eligible for the prize.

I can't wait to see your adorable creations!

Stamps: Mini Day Dream Fhiona (Your Next Stamp), Garden of Life (PTI)
Paper: PTI kraft
Ink: Adirondack Espresso
Accessories: mini envelope, seed packet, PTI button & ribbon, Copic markers, Spica glitter pen, SU linen thread

Wee Memories Challenge 49

Happy Saturday! It's time once again for a Wee Memories challenge! This week's FABULOUS sponsor is none other than My Favorite Things!  They have super cute stamps, of course, but also lots of great accessories, including their fun die-namics line.

Our winner this week will win a gift certificate to My Favorite Things! Cool, right?

Our challenge this time around is an easy one: "Free Your Creativity." All you need to do is create a NEW project this week, & you're in!
Kim (the owner of MFT) is amazing, & she generously gave the DT our choice of goodies to play with. I used Start the Day with Whee! on my card, along with some of their Puff Cloud White felt. I paper pieced the girl's dress & gave her glittery shoes a la Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. I snipped the "grass" with my scissors to add a little extra dimension. I think it makes for a fun little spring card, don't you?

So, ready to play along? Just link up your finished creation to the Wee Memories blog. You have until midnight PST on Fri., Apr. 1 to be eligible for the prize.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Stamps: Start the Day with Whee! (MFT)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, PTI white, SU pp
Ink: Adirondack Espresso
Accessories: Nestabilities circles & scalloped circles, MFT felt, PTI cloud dies, Copic & SU markers, Spica red glitter pen

Wee Memories Challenge 47

Hi, everyone! I'm back with another fun Wee Memories challenge!

This week's sponsor is Annabelle Stamps! They have super cute stamps & lots of other fun stuff in their store. Be sure to check them out!

Our lucky winner this week will receive a free stamp set from Annabelle Stamps!

Now that it's March, we're inching closer & closer to spring every day, so our challenge this week is to create springtime or St. Patrick's Day creations!

The DT was lucky enough to receive some stamps from our sponsor, Annabelle Stamps, to play with for this challenge. I used this adorable stamp called Lil Bee's Big Flowers. I used a combination of Copics & SU markers to color it, then I added some sparkle to the bee's wings & the centers of the flowers.

So, ready to play along? Link up your spring/St. Patty's Day creation on the Wee Memories blog. You have until midnight PDT on Fri., Mar. 18.

Stamps: Lil Bee's Big Flowers (Annabelle's Stamps)
Paper: Sweet Blush, PTI white, Echo Park pp
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black
Accessories: Copic markers, SU Certainly Celery marker & ribbon, Spica clear glitter pen

Think Big

Hi, everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. I went to see The King's Speech last night. It was SO good; the acting was amazing, the storyline was inspiring (& quite funny in parts, which I wasn't expecting)...plus I got to stare at Colin Firth for two hours! Smiley

It was a busy week for me at work, & I've been disappointed that I haven't been able to participate in many of the anniversary festivities over at Papertrey Ink. BUT, I found a little time to play along with the Think Big challenge to incorporate something big into your project.

Since I am just itching for some springlike weather, I decided to make a big WARM sun for my card! I used a bunch of PTI stuff on this one...including an Impression Plate to give my "grass" some texture. The only things that aren't PTI are the ink & the Nestie I used to make the sun.
Hope you like it!

Stamps: Scattered Showers (PTI)
Paper: Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, white, Bitty Dot Basics pp
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black
Accessories: Nestabilities Lacey Circles, PTI cloud dies, PTI ribbon, PTI Linen & Canvas Impression Plate

April Showers

Hi, all! Hope your week is going well. My freshmen turn in their research projects tomorrow, so that means no crafty time for me for quite a while. Smiley

Just a quick CAS card to share with you today. I bought this umbrella punch last summer and never used it, so I pulled it out to make this fun spring card. What do you think?

Stamps: Egg Hunt (PTI)
Paper: Taken with Teal, Summer Sun, Only Orange, Old Olive, Raspberry Fizz
Ink: Raspberry Fizz
Accessories: Martha Stewart umbrella punch

Happy Spring!

Hey, all! It's a GORGEOUS day here in central Illinois! I've been enjoying my spring break so far--visiting the in-laws, taking the dog on long walks--but my mojo is hiding and is nowhere to be found! I thought I'd have more craftiness to show you this week, but I'm just not feelin' it...must be the spring weather.

I did manage to make this little number using Laura's Sketch 48. It also qualifies for A Passion for Papertrey's Easter/spring challenge. I hope it'll brighten someone's mailbox!

Have a great day!

Stamps: Everyday Button Bits, Egg Hunt (PTI)
Paper: Cool Caribbean, PTI white

Ink: Basic Black, Real Red

Accessories: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, EK Success embossed curve border punch, Michaels ribbon, PTI buttons

Butterfly Mornings and Wildflower Afternoons

Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days...I've been sick, busy with my school's musical, and feeling the winter blahs big time. I'm trying to hang on until spring break...

Isn't this sentiment just perfect for spring? I don't know about you, but I am definitely ready for more sunshine and warmer temps. I'm itching to get outside and take a long walk with hubby and our pup.

I combined several challenges for this card:
Laura's Sketch 46, Flutter By Wednesday 98, and Color Throwdown 81. Hope you like it!

Stamps: Turning a New Leaf, Egg Hunt (PTI)
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, PTI white

Ink: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: EK Success embossed curve border punch, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Nestabilities blossom, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, SU ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls

Thoughts of Spring

Since today is the first day of spring, today's limited supplies challenge required you to create using the Soft Subtles color family and a flower as the main image.

Since I was using pastel colors, I used some sheer ribbon, pearls, and my Swiss Dots folder to keep the look soft. I also used my new oval Nesties--bought with a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby. Woohoo!

Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks (SU), Sunny Thinking (Hero Arts)
Paper: Pretty in Pink, PTI white

Ink: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Nestabilities Ovals, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, ribbon (Michaels), pearls (Kaiserscrapbook)
