Triple Play

Don't forget to enter my BIG blogoversary giveaway.

As I mentioned on Tuesday, I'm trying to branch out and do more challenges this week. Today's card combines 3 of them: Laura's Sketch 29, Flutter By Wednesday #64, and this week's Stamp Something challenge to use at least 3 embellishments on your card.

Last night I was decluttering and realized just how much patterned paper I have (TOO much, if you're wondering). So, I'm forcing myself to use more of it. I pulled out some much-loved My Mind's Eye papers for this card.

You can't really see it in the pic, but I stamped the main panel using my Canvas bg stamp and Aqua Mist ink. The effect is subtle, but I think it gives the card that little something extra.

Stamps: Canvas (SU), All Occasion (Hero Arts)
Paper: Kraft, PTI Aqua Mist, My Mind's Eye dp
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, PTI Aqua Mist
Accessories: ribbon (American Crafts), buttons (BasicGrey), Nestabilities butterflies, hemp twine (SU), Martha Stewart scalloped dot punch

Beautiful card--butterflies and buttons go together like PB&J. I love the subtle look of stamping the main panel. I thought it was textured paper!

The canvas bg is a great touch. Until I read your description, I thought it was textured cardstock. I like how you used the patterned paper for the butterfly and border. I read your post on SCS about that. I agree, patterned paper is my weakness too. Especially anything with stripes.
