2S4Y Top 30 Sketch

I'm still in shock that I made the Top 30 in the 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown. There were over 400 amazing entries, and now that it's narrowed down to just 30, the competition is even tighter. There's some fabulous talent out there, and I'm blessed to be a part of it. Thanks to Kazan, Laura, and all the judges, and a big congrats to all the finalists.

As I sat down to make this card, I knew I wanted to maintain my clean style, but just kick it up a notch. I really admire cardmakers who can pile on the embellishments, but that is SO not me. When I try to do that, it ends up looking like a hot mess.

These flowers actually started out white. I sprayed them both with my new Glimmer Mist (an Archiver's purchase over the weekend). I wish you could see them IRL--they're SO shimmery and pretty! Since I love texture, I framed them both on a piece of textured cardstock. And since Swiss Dots embossed on white is just about my favorite thing on earth, I had to add it here. A Martha Stewart punch, a sentiment (also from my Archiver's trip), and some bling finish it off.

So, wish me luck! Now I'm off to see what the other ladies created!
