Happy Summer Day

What a fun inspiration challenge this week! Stef has asked us to find a website whose design inspires us in some way. She gave us some websites to start with, so I found my original inspiration with this screen shot. I immediately thought of the ribbon I used for this card.

When I went to the website itself, I saw that it was for planning a summer vacation. I dug out my little penguin chick and got to work.

After several botched attempts using a sentiment from Studio G stamps (A word of warning: There's a reason they only cost $1), I settled on this rub-on sentiment from Stampin' Up.
I love the bright, fun colors in this card. I hope it makes someone else have a happy day.

Stamps: Penguin Chick (Imaginisce)
Paper: Bazzil textured turquoise & green, DCWV textured orange, Pixie Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Pixie Pink, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: pink watercolor pencil, aquapainter, rub-on (SU), ribbon (Michael's), Dew Drops, clear glitter pen (Spica), dimensionals
