Friends to the End

Happy Tuesday! How are things with you? I've been having "doggy drama" this week. My pup developed some kind of allergy last Wednesday...poor thing was sneezing, with watery eyes that were so swollen she could barely see. I took her to the vet, and she was on the mend until Sunday, when her eyes got all red and swollen again...took her to the vet yesterday and found out her eyes are now infected. She got more shots, and now she's on quite the regimen...a pill every 12 hours and eye drops every 6...which means I haven't been getting much sleep around here. I always think of her as my child, and now I have the sleep deprivation to prove it! Smiley

Now onto today's card. Every once in a while I like to challenge myself to complete a bunch of challenges on one card...while keeping to my clean style. This card fits four challenges:
CPS Sketch 177
Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 40 (Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Basic Black)
Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge 15 (Incorporate Stamping)
A Passion for Papertrey (Forever Friends)

I played with the out of the box technique for the first time...I thought this set was perfect for it. Splitcoast has a great tutorial on how to do this technique with Nestabilities, but I just used scissors and a ruler to eyeball it.

Hope you like it!

Stamps: Turning a New Leaf, Mega Mixed Messages (PTI)
Paper: Basic Black, PTI white, SU pp
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
Accessories: PTI ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls, Martha Stewart butterfly punch

OK how you've managed to master so many challenges with this card is pretty impressive! I'm so happy that one of the challenges is ours ;D
Just love the drama of the bold red ribbon at the bottom. It really finishes off the card so nicely!
Have fun at CHA btw - totally jealous *grrr* ;D
Hugs,

Fantastic card! Love the colors & those sweet butterflies. :> I scanned the posts above & don't see any news....is your pup doing better? I hope so!

I really like how you used the color combo. This would have been nice as a one layer card, but with the panel matted in black it really stands out.

I can definitely sympathize with you and your puppy. I have a cat who has had asthma for quite a while now. He's on regular meds for it, but every once in a while he has a series of bad episodes where he can barely get a breath and I have to take him to the emergency vet - they always happen in the middle of the night. I took him in this past Friday night. Usually that keeps him good for several weeks. Not this time though. I had to bring him in again yesterday. We now have to start him on a special nebulizer with medicine that costs $215! It's unbelievable what we will go through for our pets.
