S-t-r-e-t-c-h...

Today's Limited Supplies Challenge required you to stretch yourself by using at least two things you wouldn't normally use. I decided to choose colors I wouldn't normally pick (Tangerine Tango and Groovy Guava) and to add some distressing to my card.

Not entirely sure I like the result, although that could be because I am stretching outside my comfort zone. What do you think?

Paper: Tangerine Tango, Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip, Hawaii Papaya dp (SU)
Accessories: spiral punch, Nestabilities circles & scalloped circles, distressing tool, button (Oriental Trading Co.)

Actually, I really like the combination of everything. BUT, it feels like it's missing something on the left side.. maybe putting "Hello" or other sentiment either along the left edge of the flower, or maybe the lower left corner? OR, you could put a corner rubon in the left lower corner. OK- maybe I should join in the challenge!! LOL.

The colors are great -- my favorite pair of Papillio Birkenstocks are wild flowers in these colors, and they're not colors I'd normally use, either -- but they're my favorite shoes!

I think it works! Distressing is fun. Once you start, it's a slippery slope. I distress pretty much everything.

Anyways, I like the card and the color combo. Great job stepping outside your zone.
