Color Your World: Masculine

I'm home again today due to the extremely cold temps. When I got up this morning, it was -16 with a wind chill of -41! We are under a wind chill warning until Friday noon, so school may be cancelled again tomorrow...

I checked out today's Ways to Use It challenge, and it's a fun one. We were to use a color wheel or color website to create a combo we wouldn't normally choose. I decided to add my own challenge: to make a masculine card. I went to the COLOURlovers site and searched for "masculine." I ended up with the symphonic palette.

Then I selected the Spots & Dots embossing folder, which led to the circle theme, so I came up with the circles around the sentiment. This was a tough one for me, but I'm pleased with the results.

Stamps: All About U (SU)
Paper: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Cuttlebug Spots & Dots, Nestabilities circles, brads (Making Memories)

Wow. That color combination really is great. I also like how you used the cuttlebugged background and the design of the card.

It would have been much easier and faster to just tell you I really like the card. *giggle*

I'm sorry your weather is so cold. We'll be getting your cold tomorrow. Ick.

We have school/events closed because of bad weather but not becuase of cold. Wow! It's in the single digits here but sounds like that's a heat wave compared to where you are.

I like the color combo you chose and how you wove the sentiment inside the rings. Very hip!

This is so cool! I'm saving it because I have to make some masculine 50th bday invites, and something along these lines would be perfect!

Hi Ann, the is SERIOUSLY GORGEOUS! I'm going to CASE this.

I'm sorry you're weather is so cold. This week it's been very nice (the highs in the 70s) in Northern CA. Two mosquitos got into the house and bit my son. Luckily, we got rid of them. I wish we would get a cold snap to control the buggers.
