Pet Sympathy

I've had this Friends Furever set for a while, but I didn't think I'd be inking it up for the first time due to the death of a pet. However, I learned tonight that a Splitcoast friend recently put her dog to sleep. Those of you who are dog lovers will understand that the death of a pet can be as devastating as the death of any human loved one. I know how much my furry baby means to me, so I though a sympathy card was in order for my friend. I added a ponytail to the image to change it from a boy to a girl, then colored the image with Copics. I hope this will be a comfort to my friend in her time of sadness.

Stamps: Friends Furever (MFT), Essential Sentiments (MFT)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, PTI white, Hawaii Papaya dp (SU)
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Copic markers (E00, E29, E31, R27, R32), ribbon (Offray)

A beautiful card, Ann, and I love how you made the lil boy a girl; so clever!!

How wonderful of you to do this for a friend. I totally agree about losing a pet; it's as if a beloved member of the family has passed.

What a great friend you are to care enough to send this out to your SCS bud; I'm sure she'll appreciate it more than mere words could say.

Oh, my heart breaks for her. I'm going to die when we lose our fur baby. Very sweet card, I know it will mean a lot to her.

How sweet of you! Oh, it is so hard...we had to put our dog and 2 cats down in the past 3 years. I guess I wasn't thinking when we got them all at the same time that we would lose them all at the same time.

Makes me tear up just looking at it. It is miserable to have to say goodbye to a beloved pet. How kind of you to create such a card!
