My brother-in-law, Jim, had heart surgery last week and just got out of the hospital yesterday. He has several weeks of recuperation to get through, so I thought I'd make him a card to keep his spirits up. I wanted something cheerful, yet masculine.

He has several weeks of recuperation to get through, so I thought I'd make him a card to keep his spirits up. I wanted something cheerful, yet masculine. I forgot I had these felt letters from KI Memories. Don't you just love felt? It gives such great texture to a card, and playing with it takes me back to the art projects I used to make as a kid. The ribbon was a find from the bottom of the dollar bin at Michael's today. I really like this color combo and want to use it again soon.

I love this card, Ann! I suck at masculine cards.. and yours really does look masculine! The felt letters rock!
I love it--the colors are fun!
