Old Lady Birthday

There are several ladies I work with, and as a group, we enjoy teasing each other now and then. Some might prefer to call it ridiculing, but I prefer teasing. Well, one of these ladies is about to have a birthday. Now, being the sweet young thing that I am, I can't resist giving her a little ribbing about being old enough to be my mother. Thus the sentiment for this card was born. I'm sure she'll love it, and I'm equally sure she will pay me back twofold when my birthday rolls around.

I used the layout for today's sketch challenge on Splitcoast. I don't normally use this color combo--Real Red and Pumpkin Pie--but I really like the way these two colors look together.

Stamps: Humorous Birthday (Inkadinkado)
Paper: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Summer Picnic dp
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories: gingham ribbon (SU), red ribbon (Michael's), gray watercolor pencil, blender pen, dimensionals

So funny! One of my absolute BEST friends and I became friends that very same way. She was 20 years older than me. When I got pregnant, I said, "Dude, if you are old enough to be my mother, that means you are old enough to be my son's GRANDmother!" Luckily, she had a great sense of humor! Funny. I think we live parallel lives. I'm getting scared... first the inspiration card, now today's post!
