Embrace the Masculine White Space

Dirty Dare '08 is in full swing on SCS this week. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read this thread. A couple of new challenges will be posted each day through Sunday. If you complete them all, you might even win a prize!

You are allowed to combine challenges, which is what I did with this card. Michelle's challenge was to create a masculine card, and Julie asked you to utilize white space in your design.

I wanted to make a card for my hubby, since he was nice enough to take me to the scrapbook store on our vacation, AND he drove the entire trip. Once again I used stamps from Hero Arts' Trees, Birds, & Messages set. I thought this little squirrel and "nuts about you" sentiment were cute, but still appropriate for a man. I threw in a bit of Hodgepodge Hardware and ribbon so the card wouldn't be too boring. ;)

Stamps: Trees, Birds, & Messages (Hero Arts)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, PTI white
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: ticket corner punch, aged copper Hodgepodge Hardware, Chocolate Chip ribbon, dimensionals

Aw! This is adorable. I love white space. It gives a card such a great feel.
