Hey there! Happy Thursday! It's a dreary one here, but we need the rain, so I can't complain...plus, it's perfect weather for crafting. *wink*
First, some fun news: I won "Cup of the Week" over at The Play Date Cafe for this card. It's always a fun surprise when your card is chosen as a favorite!
Now onto my card. I've been wanting to play along with some of the Card Creations challenges over at Moxie Fab World, but I haven't had time until now.
I decided to truly challenge myself by joining in on the spatter technique challenge...not a technique I normally use, but I had fun trying!
I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist for my spatters, & I am IN LOVE with how it adds shimmer to the card! I also used a glitter pen to add some sparkle to the hearts on my whale. And notice how the whale is paper pieced with hearts...it goes well with my loving sentiment, don't you think?
Hope you like it!
Stamps: Critters of the Sea (Lawn Fawn), Whale Wishes (PTI)
Paper: PTI white, Pool Party & pp (SU)
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black
Accessories: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (turquoise), Kaisercraft pearl, dimensionals
Way to go on being Cup of the Week, girlie!
ReplyDeleteLove that paper pieced whale and your splatters are fabulous!

ReplyDeleteYay so happy for you and your win! WHooo hoo! Love today's card, the splatters look amazing!
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable splatters!! It works so perfectly with your whale, looks like he's under water! One of my summer goals is to attempt the splatters, so thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteThis is too, too cute! My hubby studies whales, so I have a soft spot for them, but you've really grabbed my attention with the sweet heart paper and fun splatters. Fantastic card, Ann!
