Sending Warm Wishes

I don't know about you, but it's been so cold lately, all I want to do is stay at home, snuggling up with my hubby and sipping on hot chocolate. My card today was inspired by those feelings.

I combined two challenges:
Laura's Sketch 43 (which I flipped on its side) and today's 365 Cards challenge to use a house on your card. I finally inked up this wonderful image from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I wanted to keep the card simple, so I only colored the thatched roof and red door, then added a bit of Stickles for some snow.

Sending warm wishes your way!

Stamps: Irish Blessings (Waltzingmouse Stamps), All Occasion (Hero Arts)
Paper: Real Red, kraft, white

Ink: Real Red
Accessories: PTI ribbon, Diamond Stickles, Copic markers

This is just lovely. I love the simple elegance of it. Makes me want to go skiing and then come in and sit in front of the fire....

(Having said that, I'd also really love to be on the beach right now)

Love how you colored only part of the image...lends a graphic crispness to the whole card that is SO appealling!

Well I hope your warm winter wishes thaw some of this snow LOL!
Such a pretty scene - I love how you've coloured just a section. It looks very much like home to me!

perfect card for the this season. I do, too, want to stay home and snuggle...the only difference is that it's only 72 degree here in HI and that's cold for us! :)

Very nice image. Love your use of white and red. It's not cold here in BC, Canada. It's like spring except without a lot of sun. The warm weather is kind of putting a damper on the prep for the Olympics though.
