Friends Furever

Hi, all! Hope your week is off to a good start. Today's card is for several challenges: Pile It On (no patterned paper), Stamp Simply (use the word "friend" on your card), Our Creative Corner (inspiration challenge), and the sketch over at 2S4Y.

I was struck by the colors and texture in the OCC inspiration piece, so I hunted around for something that might work. I finally broke down and opened up my BasicGrey Woolies to use this cute pup. I also used my first piece of Crushed Curry cardstock--not a color I would normally reach for, but I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Stamps: Friends Furever (My Favorite Things)
Paper: Basic Black, Kraft, Crushed Curry
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: felt dog (BasicGrey), Cuttlebug Houndstooth, ribbon (PTI), dimensionals

    I love the little puppy! The cardstock is great and the texture looks really good. Love the sentiment too :)

    I think the curry might be my least fave of the new In Colors, but you really highlighted it and it looks great! Nice work!

    That pup is a cutie. And I do like it on that color. I too haven't been that excited about the curry color but it looks great with the kraft.

    I received that blog candy that you sent me last week and I love all of it. I can't wait to use it. I appologize that it took so long to write a thank you. I have been really sick the last 10 days and not up to being on the computer.

    That pup is cute. and I love the textured background. Crushed curry on it's own is a little scary isn't it but I've found myself using the ink quite a bit. It's not too bright.
