Hey There, Chickadee

I love, love, LOVE my new Everyday Button Bits set from Papertrey! Look how cute this little chickie is! The beak, tail, & legs are all one stamp. I added the button for the body, stamped and cut out the wing, then added a black pearl for the eye. The layout is this week's CPS sketch.

I've got a busy day today. This morning I'm helping my mom shop for new carpet, curtains, and possibly furniture. She said that when the current carpet was installed, we laid on the floor and oohed and aahed over how soft it was...that was at least 30 years ago because I have zero memory of it. So, it should be fun to see some new stuff go in.

Then tonight I'm going to see A Midsummer Night's Dream at the annual Shakespeare Festival here in town. It's an outdoor theater on the grounds of a gorgeous manor with beautiful gardens. The best part? The tickets were free. Looks like it's shaping up to be a great weekend...

    I just wanted to let you know that I can't see the full-sized image. It's a blank space that if clicked, opens a "cannot find" window. Unfortunately, quite a few of the images come up that way. Very cute in the thumbnail though! :) And have fun at Shakespeare... I'm so jealous!
