Before I left town on Friday, I managed to squeeze in a little crafty time. I came up with this card for the Limelight Sketch and Product Challenge 23. I knew immediately that I'd have no problem with the product challenge--rhinestones--BUT the sketch had me stumped for a while. I think it's because I kept seeing the squares as patterned paper, and I sometimes struggle with using several patterns on one card...it always ends up looking busy.I finally got inspired when I saw the blue and pink cardstock next to each other on my scrap pile. I threw in some gray, and ta-da! Mission accomplished.
Be sure to check back this evening when I'll announce this week's blog candy winner. Stamps: Mega Mixed Messages (PTI)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Basic Gray, PTI white
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch, rhinestones (Kaisercraft), Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, dimensionals
Very pretty! Love the colors you ended up with, and the bling is super fine!
ReplyDeleteThis card is just adorable and love the colors.
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify, all of your work is a Ta-Da moment! I love this layout and the use of the triple boxes. You are right, having lots of DP would have overshadowed the sketch, but this one turned out just perfect with the simple CB'd cs. The bling is perfectly placed too, wonderful job!!! Happy Sunday Annie!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Ann! Those colours are so fresh and modern. An interesting sketch, from a distance I thought it was 3 separate cards (now there's another idea...)Perfect blingin' skill too - not too much, not too little!
