Hey, all! Happy Friday! Any big plans for your weekend? It's been so blasted hot here, I don't think hubby and I will do anything except veg on the couch.Just a quick card today for Limelight's Sketch & Product Challenge 24. This time the product focus is ribbon, so you know I couldn't pass that up.
I started with this sentiment and some Doodlebug patterned paper. I couldn't decide between polka dotted or gingham ribbon, so I said what the heck and used 'em both! I deviated from the sketch slightly by shrinking down my main panels; I wanted to show off more of my textured cardstock base. I think it turned out pretty cute! What do you think?

Paper: Real Red, Bazzill textured white, Doodlebug dp
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: circle punch, Designer Label punch, ribbon punch, ribbons (SU, Michaels), dimensionals
I love this, the colors are so bright and happy! That's funny, I was working on a card with strawberries this morning. As for my weekend--I am headed out of town to take some classes on coloring pencils. Have a great one!

What a bright, cheery card. The ribbons' dots and checks work great together. That's a great idea to combine them. :)
