Use It #8

It's been a while since I was able to play along with any of the Use It challenges. They recently redid their format so you have a little longer window to play. It's a fun way to use up that stash we all have.

This week's challenge was to create a card for a special woman in your life by using flowers, fibers, metal, and an unloved tool. I love to send cards to my mom "just because," so this will be mailed to her soon.
I layered two ribbons behind my Primas, added glittered brads for my metal, and used the paper piercer under my sentiment. A quick card, but I think it turned out pretty cute.
Stamps: Sunny Hello (Hero Arts)
Paper: Kraft, Cameo Coral textured
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: flowers (Prima), brads (Doodlebug), ribbons (American Crafts, Dollar Tree), paper piercer, corner rounder punch, dimensionals

  2. What a great card for you mom. Especially for a just because kind of card. Sometimes those are the very best kind to give (and get!). I love these colors together, too. Your blog is great for ideas for me for using my Kraft cardstock.

  31. I love challenges that help get rid of old stash. I always ship it off with ATC trades. It seems that it is so easy to use something up when it comes free in the mail.
I like your card, these are also the hardest challenges! If you would have LOVED it on a card you would have used it the day you brought it home, so now what. GREAT job!!!

thanks, and have a GREAT weekend!!!
